NORDIC SPORT AB
was founded in 1972. At that time the main product was ski poles.
In the
early 70's NORDIC SPORT took over
the steel javelin production from Sandvick AB who had been producing
javelins since the 1930's. NORDIC
javelins are famous all over the world and most of the Olympic medals
have been won with the Swedish steel javelins.
NORDIC SPORT also produces carbon javelins, and during
Olympic Games in Sydney 2000, NORDIC
carbon javelins took the GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE medal.
Nordic Javelins have been at the forefront of medal
winning performance in both Olympic & World Championships! 1st, 2nd, &
4th winning throws thrown with Nordic
Airglider & Airglider Carbon models!. Nordic
Javelins have had medal winning performances at many Olympics since
1996. Nordic Javelins were used in 1
Gold, 2 Silver, & 1 Bronze medal winning throws.
Nordic javelins have been redesigned to
meet the IAAF specifications that went into effect since 1999. Once
again Nordic has used its research
department and top athletes to design outstanding Javelins.
Once again, Breaux Greer throws the
Nordic Sport javelin at the US Track
and Field Championships in Indianapolis, Thursday, June 21, 2007. Greer
set a U.S. record with the throw of 91.29 meters..!

At Polanik they aim
high and are raising the crossbar higher and higher these days.
POLANIK is a Polish company which produces great quality Javelins.
The company’s history started a very long time ago – over 40 years
ago specializing in the production of the sports equipment for
several athletics events. Not long ago the base of our product range
was only the track and field equipment – javelins, discuses,
hurdles, and so on. Currently we are expanding our offer with the
additional gear which makes assembling, storing and transporting
easier than before.
We are a family company. We have developed our own patent protected
production methods. Our special field is metalworking. Javelins are
the key products. They are manufactured form high quality
duraluminium. In 1991 Polanik javelins obtained the positive opinion
from the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).
Thanks to that our equipment and implements could appear at the most
important sports competitions. Presently all the completion javelins
have the IAAF certificates.
Event after event We have a modern production system that produces
quality products. By the mutual efforts of about 100 employees over
600 Polanik branded products in 10 assortment groups are produced.
Over 60 of them are the IAAF certified items.
Our brand is a well-known and valued trade mark. That recognition,
the result of our long hard work and great efforts aimed at high
quality, has made the products present at the biggest and most
prestigious sports events all over the world.
Do you know that …
We would not exaggerate if we said that Polanik is becoming the
producer of great Track & Field equipment. Literally and in
figurative sense. At least if the athletics is concerned. For the
sake of the optimal development of the Polish sport and wishing it
all the best, we want to contribute to creating favourable
conditions for it, so we also launch sponsoring programs.
The competition equipment is only a part of our production. Polanik
training and school equipment is delivered to schools, training
facilities, clubs and track and field stadiums. Big sport starts far
away from spotlights and media interests. In school, in the
backyards and in small clubs.
